Most technological equipment (VCRs, CD-ROMs, Cassette players, DV and Hi-8 cameras) are equipped with a "pause" button � offering a momentary stop in the flow of information. The Web, in contrast, is a mediator for all digital media (sound, video, hypertext and images) which has historically been compared to a highway (Baudrillard) and exists through the constant ebb of information. <<PAUSE> will aim at intercepting this stream of information in order to provide a disruption within this endless expanse of data - by providing the viewer with a vantage point, a moment of reflection and a slowing down in his/her interactive viewing habits.
