Aberdeen�s Dance Film Festival


citymoves, The Belmont Picturehouse and Tranceformations are teaming up to
present Aberdeen's first every festival of dance on screen. Running from the
29th - 31st August 2003, in motion will be a full-on celebration of dance on
film with screeenings, a discussion forum and a masterclass by international
film-maker Katrina McPherson.

Submissions / Screening of Independent Scottish Dance Films:
We are seeking submissions of dance film shorts to be screened as part of
the festival programme. Scottish or Scotland-based choreographers,
film-makers and artists are invited to submit their work. All film work
incorporating dance/ choreography will be considered and films can be up to
15minutes in length. Only recordings of stage performances or documentations
of projects are not eligible. (We will consider works made by or with
Scottish involvement but due to funding criteria we are not able to accept
works made outwith this remit.)

The screening is being curated by Anita Clark (citymoves), Lesley McGale
(The Belmont- Picturehouse) and Andy Kennedy (Tranceformations).

Choreographers and film-makers whose work is selected work will be invited
to the screening, where they will be able to take part in a dance on screen
discussion forum and to participate in the masterclass led by Katrina
McPherson. For all selected artists accommodation will be provided and
travel costs met.

To apply, please submit a VHS copy of your work along with a completed
application form (available on request) and CV�s for the choreographer/
film-maker.

Deadline for submissions is Friday 27th June 2003.
