Whilst I understand the arguments Leigh puts across regarding of course,
I dont necessarily share his position + perspective. Yes, like many, I
have an interest in a magazine for Scotland which is not: a. a coffee
table tome, b. a validation forum for new orthodoxies, or c. always
throwing stones at all and sundry. It's no coincidence either that this
has arisen at a time when SAC may be offering a tender for a magazine,
the details of which we dont know at present, which is exactly the right
time to discuss it on this list. If it can go to the right sources it
will be a good thing for the sector and for the framework of publications
that already exist, adding more support rather than undermining it. Don't
you think Leigh?

ps interested to know where Leigh got his figures from re' Scotinform.
