I've got a few books to give away for anyone who wants them: 1.) Red hat Linux 5.2: installation disks + plus manual, an oldish distribution but still viable, manual is still relevant to current versions of Linux
2.) Mastering C Programming: basic intro to the language (useful for anyone wanting to write their own MAX/MSP/NATO or Pd objects, or provide a basis for Cocoa and many other programming languages + frameworks) 3.) Official Guide to MiniSQL: includes install discs, coverage of one of the main free database systems, focuses on writing interface applications for web in Java, Perl and PHP 4.) Lingo Sorcery + Magical A-Life Avatars: despite the awful titles these are both excellent books on Lingo programming (for Macromedia Director), the second one focuses on building networking systems Just mail me back directly if you are interested. best wishes, Si. ------------------------------------------------- a m b i t : networking media arts in scotland post: [EMAIL PROTECTED] archive: http://www.mediascot.org/ambit info: send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and write "info ambit" in the message body -------------------------------------------------
