THE DOCUMENTARY MANIFESTO � Filmhouse 2 � FREE 1.15PM � 2.45PM: Acclaimed author, film-maker and television presenter MARK COUSINS discusses what makes a good documentary film-maker, from the brass-neck daring of Nick Broomfield to the eccentric pursuits of Werner Herzog. The talk will be illustrated using selected clips from some of the most mind-blowing documentaries ever made
BLUE ROOM SPECIAL � UGC Cinema � FREE 4.00PM � 5.30PM: Screenings of a selection of hand-picked short documentaries made by young Scottish film-makers. Hosted by Nigel Buckland and Marc De Launay, (Vidz, Channel 4), the showcase also features an opportunity to share some of the behind-the-scenes tales with the film-makers in the audience.
