I've started a Topica mailing list to archive all discussion about the proposed changes to Tramway that were highlighted by Seona Reid this week. The way that the list will function is as follows:
1) You can subscribe to the list by sending an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] or visiting http://www.topica.com/lists/tramway
2) Once you have subscribed, you will receive instructions detailing how to contribute to the list and how to unsubscribe should you want to.
3) All messages sent to the list (via the email address [EMAIL PROTECTED]) will be sent to all subscribers -- so if you subscribe, you may receive a high volume of mail from the list.
4) To keep track of discussion and view messages, you can visit http://www.topica.com/lists/tramway
5) You will NOT receive spam as a result of subscribing to the list, but Topica is funded by advertising, so messages may have plaintext ads attached at the bottom.
6) All messages will appear as plaintext (ie no html, no graphics).
The idea is to keep a record of all new info that becomes available on this subject and people's reactions to and opinions on it, and also to just promote some discussion on the subject.
I'll repost Seona's original message as the first contribution to the list so that all can view it and be apprised of the situation.
