ARTIST OPPORTUNITIES Digital, Photographic and New Media Workshop Leaders Database.
Folly are creating a database of interested artists who are looking for opportunities to take part in the delivery of education , workshops, activities and events. This is a call for Artists who as part of their practice also work as workshop leaders in Digital, Photographic and New Media and who would like to deliver creative hands-on workshops with groups. Current courses can be viewed at http://www.folly.co.uk/courses/index.htm We are looking to expand this provision in the New Year. Folly are actively seeking dynamic contemporary creative practitioners who have experience and the skills of communication, professionalism and have the ability to make creative digital and photographic activities exciting. The proposals would aim to contribute to the education, events, outreach and community projects of the centre's programme. Applicants need to demonstrate evidence of their current experience of working with identified groups. Workshops may be in response to issues addressed within their own practice, or specific (and well tested) process skills. Keywords applicable to yourself have to be; excellence, exciting, energy, brilliant communication skills, tolerance, patience, and being able to deliver. We aim to build up confidence of participants in ways of creative expression and visualisation whatever their ability in the medium. Basically the workshops that you are proposing have to be bomb proof and guaranteed to be successful. If your proposal is to work with groups of young people of ages 16 years and under a Police Check needs to be evident with your letter of application, we can advise you on how you can obtain this document. Your letter should outline the type of workshop you are able to deliver and what groups you are able to work with, please include a curriculum vitae of previous workshop experience, you creative practice and an indication what resources you would require from Folly. Images (jpgs/slides/printed/colour copied) - 6 max - would be useful and any other printed supporting material.
