It¹s aim is to provide a national and international group of artists and audience with a strong and uniting platform in the emergent field of live digtal audiovisual arts. KviKT promotes the artform of interwoven sound and image; in which both sound and image have an equal role, both tell the same story and are created together as a whole. Recognizing the need for a venue for live audiovisual electronics in Iceland¹s fertile and innovative artculture, KViKT is Iceland¹s first festival to focus on showing works in which the unity of the auditive and the visual media are explored. Consequently, we will provide the artists with the opportunity to show their work in a well-suited concert environment, featuring a high-end sound & video system. The first edition of KViKT will include six state-of-the-art audiovisual live performances, taking the audience from ?seetrough sillymagic¹ to ?raw data¹, from ?mutant jazz¹ to ?wreck¹n¹roll¹.
