GERMAN VIDEO ART: The 10th Marl Video Art Award

Now in its 20th year, the bi-annual Marl Video Art Award, most recently awarded in May 2002, is one of the most important awards in this art form, providing extensive media exposure and a public platform for video art, video installations and sound art. The award-winning works, together with other entries, are toured internationally by the Goethe Institut.



The screening on Saturday 21 features Skip and Return, the award winning film by Jan Verbeek alongside 8 more exhibited works and an introduction by Dr Uwe R�th, Director of the Skulpturenmuseum Glaskasten in Marl, one of the founders of the Marl Video Art Award. Sunday 22 includes screenings of an additional 12 films including Moving Day by Susanne Kutter and Ich brauche Deine Augen by Anke Sch�fer.



Organised by the Skulpturenmuseum Glaskasten (city of Marl, Northrhine Westphalia) in association with the Adolf-Grimme-Institut, the TV arts programme Aspekte, the Media Art Academy Cologne and the Goethe Institut.
