<x-tad-smaller>[chronicler] is a calendar specific art project to be housed in the E m e r g e D vacant shop front, Woodlands Road, Glasgow. In an age where increasingly we are tied to the next consumer calendar point by shop windows everywhere, [chronicler] aims to be a lateral take on this trend, revisiting the calendar and the retail space from a different angle.

Artists are asked to propose to make work that is specific to the relevance of the calendar dates they want to exhibit on. [chronicler] is not prescriptive as to what calendar the artist chooses to work from, be it the Gregorian, Islamic, Jewish, Celtic, Chinese etc. All that is asked is that the artists exhibit within the context of the dates they choose. Each artist's project will last for one week, running from Sunday to Sunday. The dates that [chronicler] will run are as follows.

18.04.04 - 25.05.04 <> [chronicler] a series of six calendar specific artworks
25.05.04 - 02.05.04 <> [chronicler] a series of six calendar specific artworks
02.05.04 - 09.05.04 <> [chronicler] a series of six calendar specific artworks

16.05.04 - 23.05.04 <> [chronicler] a series of six calendar specific artworks
23.05.04 - 30.05.04 <> [chronicler] a series of six calendar specific artworks
30.05.04 - 07.06.04 <> [chronicler] a series of six calendar specific artworks
