You'll find below the programme of the Open Sources Encounter event, in 
the
beautiful city of Tours in France, 17-19 June 2004.

Open Source Encounter is organised by Ellipse with the Arts Catalyst and
Groupe Lara and will celebrate the cultural dimensions of European
enlargement. The event will focus on knowledge exchange in the 
technological
and electronic arts and cultural utilisation of space facilities. A 
concert
of electronic music concludes the event.

The event costs just 10 Euros (admission price for the concert).  There 
are
reasonably-priced flights to Tours from the UK with Ryanair (from #103
depending on dates) and Air France (#120.90). Prices as at 1 June 2004.

Thursday 17 June: Opening

18.30h Reception and formal opening with Groupe Laura at the Maison des
Associations Culturelles de Tours

20.00 - 2200h Senegalese buffet and music at Celliers Saint Julien

Friday 18 June: Master class

Taking place in the conference room of the Ecole Superieure des Beaux-Arts
de Tours.
Moderators and translators: Stephen Kovats, Marc Tuters, Ewen Chardronnet

15.00h Organisers panel (Groupe Laura, Arts Catalyst, Ellipse, RIXC, 
Projekt
Atol) with an introduction by Alain Coulange, Director of the School of 
Fine
Art at the Ecole Superieure des Beaux-Arts de Tours.

Presentation of the Trans-Cultural Mapping programme by co-ordinators Marc
Tuters (RIXC, Canada-Latvia), Marko Peljhan (Projekt Atol, Slovenia) and
Ewen Chardronnet (Ellipse, France).

16.00h Showing of the film, 'Open Sky' by Ewen Chardronnet

16.30h Acoustic Space Lab and Makrolab presentation with Marko Peljhan and
Tomaz Sustar (Projekt Atol, Slovenia), Rob la Frenais (The Arts Catalyst,
London), Stephen Kovats (V2, Rotterdam) and Ewen Chardronnet.

Break

17.30h Showing of 'Gravitation Off!' the Arts Catalyst's zero-gravity film
and a presentation of art and variable gravity projects commissioned for
Star City with Nicola Triscott and Rob la Frenais.

18.00h Showing of "Otolith', by Richard Couzins, Anjali Sagar and Kodwo
Eshun. An Arts Catalyst commission.
