I just received this from the Ministers Office. So  all artists are to be represented  on the Commission by One musician - well well! Artists need to be heard. Get in there.    Su Grierson (SAU exec committee)

Today Scottish Ministers announced the appointment of the Commissioners to the Cultural Commission. James Boyle and Mr McAveety believe that these appointments will provide the breadth of experience required for the Commission to fulfil its remit, as outlined in the Cultural Policy Statement which the Minister launched in Parliament on 22 April.
The newly appointed Cultural Commissioners are:
Craig Armstrong, musician
George Black, Chief Executive of Glasgow City Council
Gordon Jeyes, Director of Childrenâs Services, Stirling Council
Brian Lang, Principal of St Andrews University
Colin Marr, Director of Eden Court Theatre
Shonaig Macpherson, McGrigors
Lucy Mason, Chief Executive of Dance Base
Ian Ritchie, businessman

The cultural review offers a generational opportunity to look seriously at Scotlandâs cultural provision. The Commission will be expected to involve and enthuse the cultural community in Scotland and I encourage you to engage with them.Â
