This is a surprise. Sorry to hear Chris resigned. It is perplexing since from the outside NMS seemed to be doing good quality and consistent work. Chris worked hard to create a lot of opportunities for audiences, artists, writers, curators, and other creative practitioners and the organisation was building a good international profile, which is such an important aspect of supporting Scottish artists and audiences becuase it draws attention to Scotland.
I hope things are resolved positively.
All the best

Dear Simon and ambit members,
I resigned as Artistic Director of New Media Scotland on 29th September.
This was not a decision I took lightly. I felt I had no choice but to take this course of action, given the deteriorating situation at New Media Scotland over the last few months. I cannot comment publicly on the specifics relating to my employment as the matter is in the hands of my solicitor.
Iliyana Nedkova is currently still employed part-time by the organisation as Associate Curator. I'd suggest that artists and others involved with New Media Scotland's present artistic programme, and who are concerned about the situation, might want to contact Iliyana for advice at [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unfortunately she is not very well at the moment and may not be able to answer queries immediately.
On the subject of ambit, the list is open for anyone to join: the instructions for how to do this are given at the ambit web site.
Regards
Chris
