I'm skeptical that it's a good idea to add a module parameter for this. See Daniel's rationale in https://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/dri-devel/2017-September/153690.html . In particular, since we don't fully understand how this stuff works yet, it's better for now to stick to changing the code for experiments.
