The maven build and site generation does not yet configure any code checking
and reporting. I suggest adding an initial set consisting of xref, checkstyle,
pmd, cpd, ncss, cobertura and findbugs. Don't think we should fail builds on
them directly yet... although not enabling that now holds the risk that it will
never happen.
