Hi,

I would oppose this proposal as SimpleStorage is probably not linear scalable
and automated clustered, which violates the goal of creating a cloud fabric
framework. Unless of course we make SimpleStorage compliant with those goals.

Subject: Re: [Amdatu-developers] On using Cassandra for non-big data

More on this subject is described on the WIKI page
http://amdatu.org/confluence/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=1605717. I ran into
consistency issues with Cassandra during several integration tests, after
digging into the issue I created this WIKI page.

Subject: [Amdatu-developers] On using Cassandra for non-big data

Hi List,

Bram, Ivo and I just had a discussion on the way we should use Cassandra for
our storage. As Cassandra uses the 'eventually consistent' semantics, it might
not the best solution for some of our problems, e.g. the Tenant storage. We
propose to remove Cassandra as a default storage for most of the services,
replacing it by the SimpleStorage that Bram is currently working on, and only
use Cassandra for real 'big data' situations.

Any other thoughts?

Angelo
