Easy reproduction:
-1- Open Useradmin gadget
-2- Add a user named a:$%^&*!"
-3- Upon creation it throws a 500 error
-4- Now the gadget is broken, upon refresh nothing is displayed at all anymore.
Internally it throws a 500, it complains about unfinished JSON expression
(probably caused by the " in the name)
