As discussed in our face2face meeting today, here is a new version of Amdatu
terminology, to be discussed further on the mailing list. We try to finalize
this asap, so we can use this terminology at all place and end the confusion
(partly :)

  * Amdatu.org: Open & open source collaborative environment for development
of Amdatu deliverables
  * Amdatu.com: Commercial offerings based on Amdatu deliverables
  * Component: Generic term for arbitrary small or large elements of
functionality wherever it is the most cost effective to operate them, not just
entire systems
  * Cloud component: A component with REST and multi-tenancy architecture
characteristics
  * Cloud service: A cloud component, running in the cloud 24/7
  * Platform SDK: The combined Amdatu deliverable that enable Java developers
to build cloud components and cloud services
  * Runtime Dynamic Platform Component (RDPC): Java based components that
together can form a cloud component
  * Microkernel: The minimal set of RDPCs that are neede to bootstrap the
system (OSGi, Ace client agent)

Weaknessed or to be discussed parts in this definition:

  * I replaced composite with the term component. After looking up the
defintion of composite, it was stated that a composite consists of a distinct
set of components, which is, I guess, the word we were searching for (composite
as a word is flawed as this is the result of combining those 'components', not
the 'lego building blocks' we meant it to be).
  * RPDC is a completely new term, even an abbreviation, which is risky, I
would like to have a more recognizable term
