This appears to be a difficult issue to resolve. Shindig in this case depends
on functionality hosted by iGoogle on the URL
www.gmodules.com/ig/gadgetsettings. This is however intended to be used by
iGoogle, but by arbitrary external gadget containers like ours. See this issue:

And in the meantime this is a 2-year old quote while the issue is still open.
I guess the best way to fix it would be to include the attached patch in Amdatu.
