This online check comes from ehCache, which was 'accidentally' enabled in
Amdatu OpenSocial. By fixing AMDATUOPENSOCIAL-143, ehCache is really disabled
by default and so the online check is not done anymore. If you enable ehCache
however, the online check is done but since this is done by ehCache internally,
we cannot/should not do anything about it.
