Also, after studying the spec, it seems we should be refactoring the autoconf
processor a bit, since it's supposed to make changes on commit, not prepare,
and we should restrict its operations so it stops working after the deployment
admin decides it is "done" (there is an event we can listen to to determine
that). We do not want to keep making changes after that point, really.
