Hello Paolo, Personally, I would not have bothered to develop a GUI for AmForth as Keith Amidon's tools/amforth-shell.py is great. However, if you want to offer an Arduino like IDE to attract hobbyists to AmForth this is a highly commended activity!
As for serial port RTS/CTS handshking, please be advised that such code exists in amforth-shadow repository <http://tinyurl.com/ldkuouw> and waiting for some day inclusion into AmForth HQ by its BDFL :-) Regards, Enoch.
