The file is here:
appl/template/template.asm
I'm wrong as to where "amforth-low.asm" is included. In a vanilla
system the include is in:
appl/atmega2561/atmega256.asm
There is an atmega256 build in:
appl/atmega2561/
Probably the most suitable Makefile is:
appl/template/makefile
or possibly:
appl/arduino/Makefile
