Hi Tomasz and Fred thank you anyway for your reply. We are talking different languages, but I am really surprised I have to explain you the meaning of my really simple question. I did actually not ask if Amibroker must be running, I asked if its possible to run BatMan without Amibroker "showing up". "Showing up" in my, and most probably in many other users terms means, AB window with all its "panes", windows or whatever you might call it, is showing up. At least one custom formula in every "pane". And because it is connected RT to eSignal all this formulas are processed every some seconds in addition to the backtest started by Batman.
Do you really still think "AB startup time ( a few seconds at most ) is inconsequential." (Fred) or "that there is no speed difference between having main frame displayed because even if main frame is not visible" (Tomasz)? Then you should really sit ones beside me and look over my shoulder at my daily work with Amibroker. I guess most probably at least Tomasz will be very surprised then watching AB when it comes to its performance limits. So I leave you alone with this, your believes, because I know from running backtests by scripts, its much faster to run backtests without "Amibroker running", sorry "showing up".
