well one does not get the same bid and ask in my opinion. For certain you will not get pre markte and afterhours data / charts. I am pretty annoyed by this stuff which disabled my trading since the 30-th now. Apparently these folks at IB make a change to their servers but they treat their customers as if they are fools. It took me 3 trading days to get an idea what is going on. Now depending on how old your account is you can choose out the symbols you want to use.
