Hi Richard,

Welcome to the group.

1st: I am not sure of a way that you can integrate an End of Day (EOD)
database from TC2005 with a Real Time (RT) database from E-Signal. Believe
me, I have been searching for over a year and would love to find a solution
and have someone to correct me on this.

2nd: Most folks recommend that you stick with a RT data provider and not try
to import or sync up with an EOD data feed as there are a number of problems
and issues doing so.

Also, unless you are willing to pay big $, E-signal has a limit on the
number of symbols that you can view at any one time.

By the way, a properly configured TC2005 database will already have the NYSE
and OTC stocks in their own folders under Markets.

So what most folks are doing is using their EOD data for total market
scanning, finding stocks that meet their requirements and then updating
their watchlists on their RT platform (E-Signal and broker's software).

You can take a peak at a folder I set up over at the Amibroker AFL yahoo
group for some helpful hints for TC2005 users. Yes, it is just in it's
beginning stages and although I have some big plans for it, time is a rare
and valuable commodity.

And I can't stress enough that you need to read and re-read the help file.
AB is a powerful and amazing software package that you will enjoy for years

Dave

Subject: [amibroker] How to set up an Esignal database for all NYSE and
Nasdaq stocks

I just started using Amibroker and am trying to figure out how to set it up.
I would like to have a database that contains all the NYSE and Nasdaq
stocks. What's the best way to get all of those into Amibroker? I
subscribe to TC2005 and Esignal. Would it be possible to import the group &
sector information from TC2005 and then use Esignal's intraday data?

Thanks,
Richard
