If one attaches a lot of hocus pocus to planets and their motion affecting life on earth, one is drawn away from what the actual utility of planetary motions is all about.   Planets and their motions are nothing more than celestial clocks, just as our own clocks and watches record the motion of the earth around the sun. Our seasons are based on planetary motions, our tides are based on gravitational pull of the moon, ad absurdum.   Planetary motion is one elements of the study of markets.
