Hello
I am trying a trial of Norgate's Premium Data service. For stocks, the
setup process has been absolutely seamless - everything has been
automated and setting up the databases was point and click.
Setting up the Futures database was also very easy, however - The
futures contracts display as code, not as the actual plain English
name of the contract (i.e. JY___CCB instead of Japanese Yen).
These 'pathname-type' tags appear in both the symbol drop down menu
underneath the 'Windows' drop down menu, and in the list of items in
the database available in the 'Symbols' menu at the left hand side of
the program.
I asked Richard about this and he said that it is a function of how AB
displays data.
Does anyone know of any system to get around this, or of any service
provider who has figured out a workaround? I would much rather look at
plain English name as opposed to this code.
Thanks as always.
Nik
