Brian,
    What you might want to do is find the top 10 stocks for your system, and find the worst 10 stocks. Now, if you can find a reasonable way to eliminate the bad stocks and capture the good stocks with some indicator you could add to your code, you will start to go down a correct path. I suggest that once you start trimming all but 20 stocks found by "what worked best", you will be the opposite of robust.
