Thanks for you helping hand.
I have spent much time with Ami and can find my way to do things.
The idea I was pointing to is
I have suggested AMI to atleast 200-250 (or more) people and many of them didnot find it easy enough.
(With some it did click on right away, that num is not more than 20-25)
There are a lot of simple things which if incorporated in simple menus would make life much more easy and the product much more "visible" to the 90% of people.
Also when users can "do something" as soon as they start off they feel they got some control which keeps them interested.
Ami has a long way to go to turn "easy" for common users.
Someone will say "spend time and master it". Yes, in this case num of people who would stick would decrease.
Metastock is old slow and clumsy, even then to my surprise many people stick to it, even after having tried amibroker.
There a reason under that and it needs to be addressed.
Add simple things for fools or non tech users and see the magic.
I went to a village in which I meet a few local traders.
To them anything more than pressing "one button" is too much.
Try visiting some people like this and spend 5 hrs. It would get abundantly clear.
Regards
Rajeev
