1.

be careful though, sometimes the side effects are undesirable (save a set point before installing).

2.
try searching for "CD is not recognized" and "file size not refreshed in windows explorer" at
http://groups.google.com/grphp?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8

3.
the safest best solution, get ready to reinstall windows especially if you haven't do so for over a year

Subject: [amibroker] OT - XP windows explorer

I seem to have an "intermittent" operation with my windows explorer.

When I save a large file, sometimes I can see the file size display updating automatically, showing the increasing size of the file. Other times the size does not update automatically.

Same with putting a CD in the CD drrive. When I look at the Windows Explorer directory, the CD is not recognized (name not updated in tree) even though the tab in the task bar display is correctly displayed.

anyone know what might cause this?

Thanks

Ara
