I have Jurik JMA, VEL, RSX, and DMX. They are pretty
good indicators
and I was using them extensively in all of my strategies. However,
their are propietary and require a password for each new system they
are installed on (checks bios). This became such a hassle as I have
quite a few comps and upgrade them often. So I would have to keep
requesting new passwords. I didn't want my strategies dependent on
someone's elses software so I stopped using them.
But to get back to your question, I did find them quite useful in some
regards. Their RSX indicator actually works quite well with
rotational trading strategies and I had good success trading it on day
and weekly timeframes. I do like the JMA better than the some of the
other forms of moving averages but only midly so. VEL is pretty
interesting. You can find some interesting uses for it. DMX is
nothing that spectacular in my opinion over ADX. Probably why it was
included free with the dll version?. Then again, I never cared for
ADX much. Just to let you know, none of these indicators alone will
provide you with an instant money making tool. They only help improve
upon a strategy you already have in which smoothing would provide some
beneficial aspect to them. Anyway, hope this helps. David Piatek
