Hi Mark,
Yes this is also a problem.
However, A UPS won't
necessarily protect you from lightening. It will
protect from over voltage
- If it creeps high, But a huge spike
will still get through before the UPS
can switch over to battery.
(Relays can only work so
fast).
Lightening protection is best done with a GOOD QUALITY surge
protector,
Preferably before the UPS (So UPS isn't damaged as
well)
