What data source are you using ? If IB - it probably does not lock up - but waits for your confirmation to allow to connect to TWS (on TWS screen) . Go to TWS and make sure that 127.0.0.1 is added to TRUSTED IP PORTS http://www.amibroker.com/ib.html
