I have opened 4 tabs on top of the page. I was trying to close 2 of them. I
want only 2 one for daily and one for weekly charts. I found how to close the
tabs but that is not what I want to do.

You can turn OFF these tabs and forget about them.
Tools->Customize -> Appearance, uncheck "Show MDI tabs"

Is there anyway in a future release to make the chart tabs like the sheet tabs
at the bottom.
I have 10 charts across 3 monitors and I have no clue which tab is for which

vertical space is a such a premium because of more indicators, it would be nice
if the sheet tabs
and hopefully in the near future the chart tabs could be moved to the left
vertical side of the chart.

Sorry but this doesn't tell me much... how does this relate to Layouts?

This is recent BETA stuff, so there is no mention about it in the 4.80 (old)
Users Guide which is
released with OFFICIAL releases.
But it was discussed already... if only you used SEARCH feature of
YahooGroups (simply entering "tabs") you will easily find these:
