Tomasz,

I tested my system after a fresh boot.

I run a batch file with 2 commands in it:
1. Start Quotes Plus downloader
2. Start jscript to do create some ATCs, using OLE commands.

System works fine and does all it's supposed to do. The batch file window
closes properly.

Problem is that when all is completed the AA window remains open. After I
manually shut the AA window, but Broker.exe is still listed in the Task Manager
window.

How do I trouble shoot system based on your prior response? I have fresh boot,
no other programs running (except task manager and windows explorer). No
plug-ins used that could be locked ... and OLE seems to have completed all
tasks and ended properly.

Thanks

Ara

  Hello,

Quotes Plus instructions say: close all applications using QP2 prior to doing
database update.

  Best regards,

Ara: I experience this off and on, not consistently. I have not figured
out what steps cause it to happen or prevent it from happening. For awhile,
before updating QP and after shutting down AB, I would open Task Manager and
look for broker.exe. Sometimes I found it, and clicked End Process, other
times it was not there.

A hassle, and mysterious. For some reason, it has not been bothering me
lately.

    ???????????

After closing AB, system still sees AB as running even though it is not in
the running application list as shown in task manager.

Problem is when I try to update EOD prices from QP, system gets hung when
it tries to compact QP database because it is "being used by another
application"

I do not use QP charting ... just AB using QP database.

Is this an AB problem, a QP problem ???

    Anyone experience this??
