I would suggest you increase number of bars in database settings to see if it fixes your problem. You can set it as high as needed (above 500000 you need modify registry) if you have enough memory and/or disk space.

Tomasz: thanks. I checked everything in the troubleshooting quide, and every test says that QT is gathering data properly. The link showed all the tickers and quotes. The separate QT plot screen shows 10min bars (my setting) from 1 minute data. And I have the paid version so do not worry about ad click rates.
