Hi Dale,
    I have always used Gnome. I believe it's less eye candy and less 
complicated but more stable. But it's been at least 2 years since I 
tried KDE, So things may have changed considerably since I last use it. 
As I have too have been using Gnome for years, I can't realy say which 
intergrates better. I wouldn't imagine much difference between them though.
