For me the Sort function in the Watch List sub directory works fine. My
question remains, why not having the same Sort function for all other sub
directories in the Symbols Tab ?

Things to check (you may have already checked it but I just list
  possible problems):
  1. check if .TLS file has "Read-only" flag
  2. Preferences: do you use "case sensitive tickers"?
  3. Does it work when selected from Symbol->Watch List->Sort (top
  application menu)?
  4. Is it dependent on number of symbols in WL (for example create WL
with just 5 symbols and try it).
