Ken,

Can you export the data out from your source databases? If so, importing it
into AB should be pretty straightforward using the Import Wizard.
If the data might clash with an existing ticker on your AB database, you might
want to modify the ticker (say, with a Find and Replace in Excel) before
importing.

As for plotting an indicator based on two tickers, not very sure what exactly
you are after but I suppose you may want to use function such as "Foreign()" to
get OHLC values of a second ticker.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Lal

Subject: [amibroker] Two data symbols with long history

This is unusual. I have been asked by someone if I can plot an indicator
based on two data files (up and down Russell 2000 volumes).

The data in these files starts in Jan, 1978.

I have a FastTrack database (earliest bar around 9/1/1988 and a QP database
(earliest around 1992?)

How can I get an indicator on two data files which start in 1978? Will it
make AB do anything screwy like mess up my current databases? How would I
even input these data files?

Maybe the answer is obvious, but I can't visualize it and I have never done
something like this?

Any comments?

Thanks,

Ken
