DM I briefly looked at ways to solve the problem when you first asked but I didn't post as my quick pick was that it can't be done without excessive customisation as per D's comments. Two wild ideas: ASCII import database2 into a spare copy of database1 and tag the symbols that you import by adding a common ID to the end of each stock symbol during the import process. I haven't done this myself but I have walked throught the theory and it is easier than it sounds. It might be possible to import a set of price data into an Access or SQL database and use the ODBC plugin to reference the prices that way. I haven't tried it though. That would be a rough ride.
