The low-level graphic functionality is provided to allow to extend
AmiBroker into
areas that were not possible before. And it includes trading as
well. New functionality
will allow among others not only "theoretical curves and
adventures", any kind of charts but
also implementing custom trading GUIs (even DOM-like trading
screens) via AFL.
One of AmiBroker's strengths was always extensibility and open
architecture.
And this recent development follows this scheme.
As for AFL code wizard promised 2 months ago - I don't know where this
"revolutionary" came from. In my opinion tools like that are
rather considered as "helpers",
not "revolution". No "1-2-3 click wizard" will ever be able to
compete with human brain
so even if it is helpful to have, it is not "revolutionary".
If you are waiting for 1-2-3 code wizard that will produce holy
grail for you then
I must disappoint you. The AFL wizard will be just a coding aid,
targeted for beginners
without any coding experience to help them get started with formulas.
It won't solve all your coding problems, it won't solve even half
of them.
This will be just "getting started" tool.
As for 2 months - indeed March 3rd I said that it will appear
within 2 months.
In engineers world there is something called "error of the
estimate" . It is a measure
the accuracy of predictions made. I wonder if your own predictions
about market movement
2 months ahead are so accurrate that you know exactly what will
happen 60 days in the future.
If not, please show a little bit of patience.
