[amibroker] How to add a Quote Mark to a String

I want to use the function StrMid(T1,5,10) to extract a date sequence of
characters from a longer string named T1.
 
To convert this date sequence of characters (which can be extracted easily)
into a date, you have to surround them with quote marks, like "05/10/2007".
 
So I have a variable holding the characters 05/10/2007 and want and need to
add a quote mark to the beginning and end.
 
How do do this?
 
Trying double or triple quotemarks does not do it.
 
So  Var1    =     StrMid(T1,5,10);
 
Var2        =    " " " + Var1 + " " "  does not work.
 
Can it be done?
