Steve, Amibroker will enable you to:
1) Make better decisions using common or custom indicators (many are available for free at the AFL Library. 2) Program custom scans to bring what you are looking for to the top of the list. 3) Program mechanical trading systems based on your ideas, backtest them and trade them if you want. You will need a good basic understanding of Technical Analysis and know what you are looking for in a stock chart. Amibroker is a "tool". Yes I make money.
