saved your sectors/industry info into an csv file, then write a jscript that
load the info into AB. do a search on old newsletter or search the 3rd party
ASX stuff from ozfalcon for a file called ASX-GICS-Update.js and use it as a
basis to modify it.

Paul Ho:

Thank you for the advice, but I still do not see how to upload the sector
and group definition for each ticker. Is there any way to do, other than
manually? There are members who has down it for the US markets and the
Australia market. Can anybody help? Thanks in advance.

Anthony

save your excel as csv file and look up import ascii in AB on how to import
ascii files, preferrably using the wizard in the first instance

Subject: [amibroker] data base for HK stocks

i want to create a new database for HK stocks. I am able to download
the entire stocks list including ticker symbols, stock names, sector
and group in four corresponding columns into an excel spreadsheet. The
problem is exporting the appropiate data into Amibroker to the
approipate sectors and groups etc. Can any member tell me how. Thank
you in advance.
