Hello,

Re: pricing - you are correct, TC seem to offer some promotion now making it
cheaper at the moment.
Yahoo.com/AmiQuote ("Yahoo CURRENT" mode) update during the session is free 15
minute delayed so can evaluate if it fits your needs.

  Hi Tomasz,

It may very well be a faster database but not so sure about it being cheaper.
After a quick look at each companies website I see that it costs $420 for a
24 month agreement for TC2005 and $530 for a 24 month agreement for QP3 (more
if you want SPP and not considering Mutual Funds as I don't need them).

I have been a long time user of TC2000/5/7 and dropped it a while back.
Just looking for a quick and inexpensive way to run a simple % gainer scan
(with additional parameters) starting around 30 minutes after the open.

I have not really researched getting intraday updates from Yahoo.com with
Amiquote. It's been quite some time since I have researched using Yahoo for
EOD data feed.

Please feel free to comment or offer suggestions.

  Thanks,

  Dave

Why don't you try Quotes Plus ? It is cheaper and faster than TC

Thanks for the feedback. I will probably end up biting the bullet and
getting TC2005 again.

OT has really poor integration with the AB database. Since OT developed
this plugin and they do not understand how to use the AB database, stay
far, far away from OT. They have not done any work on the their plugin
in a
long, long time. So it would appear that they have lost interest. To
bad.
OT has good potential to work with AB but it look like they have lost
all
interest in using their product with AB.

Thanks, I did a search on Open Tick and not Opentick. That search did
        not give good results.

so far ... they might be a few issues and may not be the best choice
        for simple EOD data.
