Hi Barry The blank symbols do not have any quotes and, frustatingly, I do not have any idea what caused them - I can only presume that it is related to the recent data corruption that I sufferred.
At the outset it was obvious that there was a significant number of these records - but the number was not quantified. Now, after deleting 3000 of them by using Tools/Cleanup database, it is obvious that this has only scratched the surface. Is there a means of doing a bulk delete, or do I just have to keep plugging away with Tools/Cleanup database? Graham > > A couple more things.
