Check the capacitors on your motherboard. On such an old board
it is the reason number 1 for problems.

Since last year Asus, Gigabyte and so on use special capacitors on
some boards which should last longer.

These two videos on youtube show how broken capacitors look like
and what problems they cause. The top of good capacitors is plain
