How about something like this....

FirstBar = ValueWhen( Status( "FirstBarInTest" ), BarIndex() );
LastBar = ValueWhen( Status( "LastBarInTest" ), BarIndex() );
for ( i = FirstBar; i <= LastBar; i++ )
...
