Hello, Well, the rationale is that AA window becomes disabled when running the scan/exploration/backtest. If it was disabled, before progress window poping in front of their eyes, some novice users could not notice that there is a little progress bar in the status area. Also progress dialog displays estimated time to completion and detailed optimization information (best so far, opt engine, etc), and such info could not fit in the status bar alone.
